Angela Seewald-Marquardt is the Interim Assistant Director of International Student Support, and she can assist you with most of the issues you will encounter.  She is a Designated School Official who can access and update your SEVIS record.  She is also advisor to ISO, she will send a regular e-newsletter, she can assist you with applying for OPT, and can help with any requested letters.

Don Buegel is the Director of International Student Recruiting and Support. He also handles Financial Aid for international students.  He is a Designated School Official who can access and update your SEVIS record.

Paul Wraalstad is the Interim Director of Student Programming.  His responsibilities are widespread and umbrella into International Student Support.   He is a Designated School Official who can access and update your SEVIS record.

Iola Peterson is the International Student Support Assistant.  Iola can assist you as a contact person and connection, and is someone with whom it is easy to talk, and also can assist you with some occasional transportation needs.  She can help prepare letters for family members to attend graduation or as requested.

These people often will point you in the right direction of where to go for help or what department on campus can best address your concern.  Here are a few of the departments to which they may refer you:

 

You can get your I-20’s signed each semester, update SEVIS with your change of address or major, and take care of SEVIS release if you transfer out at the Student Affairs Office.

You can learn about cooperative education and internships and get your I-20s updated to reflect CPT in the Career Center.

Questions about your academic program or major, questions about what courses you should take, questions about adding or dropping classes, transcript questions – your Academic Adviser or the Registrar’s Office

Questions about the dining plan and available options – Auxiliary Services

Advice about study methods and how to do better in classes – Academic Enhancement Center and/or Reading and Writing Center

Housing questions – Residential Life in the Student Affairs Office.

When, where and how to pay your bill, how much you owe, estimated charges for coming semesters – Business Office

Multicultural Programming – Multicultural Affairs Office
