During her 11 years as Concordia’s registrar, Carole Stalheim helped implement the new Core Curriculum and introduce students and faculty to online grade posting. Faculty were able to submit grades via the Web and students could check the Web immediately, rather than waiting for the hard copy to be mailed.

Dr. Alex Sze, systems specialist in Information Technology Services, notes a definite increase in Web activity each semester during grade submission time.

“The previous registrar had done a great deal of the work for this process,” Stalheim says.  “I was fortunate enough to be involved with the implementation of the process.”

She says she’s really enjoyed her time at Concordia.

“The students are great, as well as the faculty, administrators and support staff,” Stalheim says.

She plans to spend time at her lake cabin with her seven grandchildren and her mother. She looks forward to reading and traveling with her husband. They hope to spend some of next winter in Arizona.
