Off To A Good Start

When I first toured Concordia I was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff and my guide. They were so open and answered all of my questions honestly. I learned that Concordia has nationally recognized study abroad programs and really makes an effort to educate students about global issues. At the Concordia Language Villages, for example, there are so many ways for students to get involved - as counselors for the 14 languages offered or as staff at the Moorhead office, where I work. It's wonderful to be a part of such a fabulous program.

I've also enjoyed the encouraging and welcoming Concordia community. I've found tons of support to help me get the most out of my studies. I use the resources at the Reading and Writing Center to improve my papers and the Oral Communication Center to improve my speeches. My professors all have office hours and many even give out their home phone numbers. They are also so interested in what they teach and show a great passion for what they do. I've learned a lot from them and am inspired by where they've been and what they've done.

I was really impressed with my first year at Concordia. I did have to work really hard, and the courses were difficult, but I learned so many valuable lessons. I wouldn't change anything!
