In The Big League

Thanks to the preparation I received at Concordia College-Moorhead, I'm enjoying a new adventure, as a Master of Divinity student at Yale Divinity School. And I'm living the dreams I've had since high school - to attend an Ivy League university and seminary.
Concordia was one of the best schools I could have attended for undergraduate work. The liberal arts tradition, one-on-one contact with faculty, commitment to faith and amazing religion faculty gave me a strong academic background. Dr. Roy Hammerling was an especially important mentor for me. He was always very supportive, asked me challenging questions and showed great interest in my future. After serving as a pastor, I would love to be a professor like him at a liberal arts college.
Central to my education was a semester in India. It opened my mind, gave me a better understanding of life in other areas of the world and truly made me a global citizen.
Concordia showed me the importance of hard work. I discovered the energy and joy that comes with giving academics your highest priority. Concordia also has a refreshing commitment to the faith lived in the world, as an active part of the academic exercise.
