Skin from the scalp has more appendages that the epidermis you looked at in the earlier slide (epidermis), but the degree of keratinization is not as pronounced. After looking at the epidermis, also look below in the dermis for glands, espcially sweat glands (Junqueira, fig. 18-15 to 18-18). These glands are also epithelial structures. Also find hair follicles, if present and sebaceous glands.
