6.    Do the Word Chapter 1 Grader Project [Assessment]

a)    Download the required files.

·       A WORD document with instructions - you can just open this in WORD and leave it open in a window for handy reference.

·       A working document for the project itself.

b)   Save the working document with the same name in the corresponding folder on your X: drive along with the other Myitlab materials.
Be sure to use SAVE AS, otherwise your file disappears into a black hole.

c)    Use the regular Office tools to do the project. This is not a simulation but the real thing with no limits.
Follow the instructions carefully.
Save the file when completed.

d)   Upload the completed file to the Myitlab site and submit it for grading.

e)    The results will show up in your grade book along with a marked up copy of the document.
You can click on any red marks to get details about any mistakes.
If you are not satisfied with your score you may go back to your saved document, make the necessary changes and resubmit it.
You are allowed a total of 10 submissions, with the highest score becoming permanent.

f)     Caution –

·       When you download your working document it is marked with your own unique identifier.

·       If someone else later submits it (even an edited copy) the submission is flagged as an attempt to cheat by both the submitter and the original downloader.

·       So make sure you download your own documents.

·       If you are sharing a computer with a roommate or friend make sure you save things in separate areas of the disk so files cannot be mixed up.
