Pronouns

  1. Print out a clean copy of your ten sentences.
  2. Identify all of the pronouns in the passage. Don't forget pronouns beyond the personal pronouns, such as the interrogative, relative, demonstrative, and reflexive pronouns.
  3. Use arrows to link pronouns to their antecedents.
    1. Don't forget that you may have some pronouns with "indefinite antecedents" (e.g., "It's raining").
    2. In some cases, the antecedent may not be present in your ten sentences. In those cases, you can write in the antecedent.
