Underline, circle, or otherwise mark all prepositional phrases. Be
careful to distinguish prepositional phrases from subordinate clauses that
may also start with prepositions.
Remember these two tips:
Form the question, "Preposition what?" If the answer is a single
word, you are likely reading a prepositional phrase. If the answer is a
clause, you probably do not have a prepositional phrase.
If the phrase in question begins with "to," look out for an infinitive
verb phrase.
Draw arrows to the word modified by the prepositional phrase, and
label the phrase as an adjective or adverb
