RESEARCH PAPER PROGRESS REPORTS


Those students conducting research projects should prepare a progress report that covers these areas:

 

1. Literature Update. Include a typed list of sources you have identified for your research. (The source list should use the MLA format.) Comment on your source work. Are any sources especially promising? Are there other kinds of sources you still need to find?

 

2. Primary Research. Describe the sort of primary research you plan to conduct. If you will use a survey, include a draft. [Remember that each project will ideally incorporate some sort of primary research.]

 

3. Research Question. How has your research question evolved since your preliminary proposal?


In addition, each person conducting a research project will schedule a conference with me in the next few weeks, so we can review your research progress.
