Overview
The goal of the ConHAB Group at Concordia College is to
develop a flexible launch platform using helium balloons for sending payloads up
to 100,000 feet above the Earth and recovering them intact.
This year, we hope to finish the basic systems, including
tracking and recovery, power, and the flight computer. Eventually, we will
be flying scientific payloads involving atmospheric monitoring, amateur radio,
and radiation studies. We also hope to attract the
interest of other groups from the local colleges and high schools that are
interested in sending payloads to the edge of space.
