12/17/07 - The final exams have been graded. The mean score was 68.7% and the median score was 73%. Grades are posted under the Current Grades link and the solutions to the exam are posted under the Practice Exams and Solutions link You can have your final exam if you would like it. 12/5/07 - The Final Exam is scheduled for Friday, December 14 at 11 am-1pm. The final is cumulative and will be given in two parts. For part 1, you may NOT use a calculator. For part 2, you may use a calculator. A sample of the final exam and its solutions may be found at the above Practice Exams and Solutions link. We will review in class on Monday, December 10. Current grades are posted and have the three lowest homework scores dropped. Note that the lowest scores may change over the next few days as you turn in your last few assignments.

10/08/07 - For 20 points of extra credit (due Friday, October 12), derive the formulas for the derivatives of tangent, cotangent, secant and cosecant. You may use that (sin x)'=cos x, (cos x)'=-sin x, any trig identities and the quotient rule; you do not have to use the limit definition.

9/21/07 - Exam 1 will be in class on Friday, September 28. It will cover material from Chapter 1 (sections 1-6) and Chapter 2 (sections 1-6). There is a practice exam posted under the Practice Exams and Solutions link. Solutions will be posted early next week.
