12/15/06 - The final exams are graded and grades are posted. If you would like to see your final exam you can stop by and pick it up along with any other assignments of yours I may have. I will be around next week and of course you may stop in anytime next semester. Have a great Christmas Break!
12/11/06 - The final exam is scheduled for Thursday, 12/14 at 8:30 am in Ivers 214 (our normal classroom). My office hours for finals week are:
I will not be available on Thursday, 12/14 so be sure to see me before 2:30 on Wednesday if you have any questions!!! Current grades are posted as of 4:30 p.m. today.
12/2/06 - Exam 3 has been graded and due to poor performance, we will have an in-class open-book partner exam on Friday, 12/1 instead of Sports Day. (Everyone will receive 20 Sports Day points due to instructor cancellation.) The percentage you earn on the makeup exam will be the percentage of missed points you will get back on your Exam 3 score.
11/10/06 - Exam 3 will be on Wednesday, November 22 (the day before Thanksgiving). We will not have a Sports Day on Monday, 11/13, but rather will cover section 4.4. After that we will be back on the schedule in the syllabus.
11/8/06 - Exam 2 has been graded. Scores are posted and solutions will be posted Friday. This section had a mean score of 76.4 and a median of 79.0. Both sections had a combined mean of 76.4 and median of 84. If you did not do as well as you hoped, you may makeup half of the points you missed by taking the make-up exam. It must be completed by Friday, 11/10 and turned in along with your exam so that I may adjust your score.
10/27/06 - Exam 2 is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 3. It will cover material from Chapter 3 (not sections 3.9 or 3.11). We will review in class on Wednesday, November 1. A practice exam and solutions are posted under the practice exams link.
10/13/06 - The self-evaluation is due on Wednesday, October 18. It should be 1-2 paragraphs that answer the following questions:
10/9/06 - Exam 1 has been graded. Scores are posted and solutions will be posted today. This section had a mean score of 82.3 and a median of 89.5. Both sections had a combined mean of 84.1 and median of 89.8.
9/27/06 - Exam 1 is on Wednesday, October 4. It will cover material from Chapters 1 and 2 (not section 2.4). We will review in class on Monday, October 2.
9/15/06 - Monday, September 18 my afternoon office hours are cancelled.
