12/5/08 - Exam 5 has been graded. Grades are posted under the "Current Grades" link above. The class mean for this section was 63.11 with a standard deviation of 17.61 and a median of 66. 12/01/08 - One last chance to improve your grade! If you attend class on December 5, December 8, December 10, December 12 AND December 15 (8:30-10:30), you can have your choice of one of the following: a free homework pass (good for a perfect score on any past homework assignment), an extra unexcused absence (can be used retroactively) OR 5 points of extra credit on any of the exams we have taken. You must attend on all five days to receive the bonus!

10/15/08 - Don't forget - your outline, annotated bibliography and preliminary group evaluations are due on Friday (10/17). You can find preliminary group evaluation forms here. You must fill out a different form for each member of your group (excluding yourself, of course). Exam 3 will be on Friday, October 24. It will cover Chapter 3. 9/5/08 - On Monday (9/8), please bring with you a list of general topics you are interested in for the group project along with your availability for group meetings. You will exchange these with other students and turn them in to me at the end of class. If you find people with similar interests you want to work with, email me by Wednesday (9/10) and I will assign the groups on Friday (9/12).
8/29/08 - Welcome to Exploring Mathematics! The math department tutors are Paul and Lisa. They will be in Ivers 210 on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 10 pm beginning Tuesday, September 2.
