Academic background and research and teaching interests
With a B.A. in European History from Oberlin College and an M.A. in French studies and a Ph.D. in French Literature from the University of Minnesota, my teaching interests are focused in the areas of French history, French theatre, and French language and culture. Additional work in education and cognitive styles as well as six years of teaching in elementary and middle schools have led to a current research interest in the effect of Learning Styles on Proficiency development and effectiveness of instructional methods.
