CSTA Department Award Winners
Academic Excellence Awards

To honor its most dedicated and accomplished students, the CSTA Department sometimes chooses one or more of its majors for the CSTA Academic Excellence Award.  To be chosen for this award, a student must have (minimally) at least a 3.75 department g.p.a., a 3.5 college g.p.a., and junior or senior standing.  Additionally, the student must have demonstrated excellence in a departmental curricular or co-curricular project, such as participation in theatre productions, the forensics team, or On-Air (Concordia's television station).

This year, three students were chosen for this honor:
Corinne Corbett, Ryan Ripley, and Michael Wang

Research Awards

To recognize their outstanding work on a written or oral research project in the past year, the CSTA Department chose two of its students to receive the following awards:

This year's Emerging Scholar Award, which is awarded to a student near the beginning of her or his communication major, was awarded to
Dani Jones

The NCA Undergraduate Research Award
is awarded to a student whose research is significant to the communication field and has the potential to contribute to its literature.  This year, the award went to
