United States demographic information - you will need to know state, county and city

Bureau of Labor Statistics conducts the Consumer Expenditure Survey which gathers information on the buying habits of American consumers. Data includes expenditures, income, and consumer unit characteristics. The FAQ's include the definition of a consumer unit.
    Data tables try using parameters to search (may not work with IE).
    Also includes analyzed data in publications.

Statistical Abstract of the United States Print copy in Reference HA202. Summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Has been discontinued as of Nov. 2011. see Consumer Expenditure Survey.

State of Working America 12th edition

Survey of Current Business - journal contains statistical data on United States business also includes income and spending. Also available in print.
