Instructions for Playing DVD or CD
Starting DVD
- Click on PowerDVD Icon

- To start playing DVD, click on arrow (red circled play
button below, OR below that the enlarged picture with "Play
(Enter)" shows how the arrow looks when the cursor is placed on the
arrow.


Two Alternate Ways to Start DVD
- You can click on start (lower left hand corner of
screen); Programs; CyberLink PowerDVD;
and then PowerDVD to start Powered DVD. You can click on the "?" below the PowerDVD to get the help menu.

- When you put the
DVD in the computer and get the following screen, click on PowerDVD, then click "OK".

Reusing a DVD
Sometimes you will get the message you see below if you’ve
played the DVD before on the same computer.

Video Menu and Controls
- With a right click on the video, the menu will appear.
- Remove video with left click on the screen.
- With a left click on the video, the control panel will appear:
- Remove the control panel with a left click.
- The following control line appears by moving the cursor
to the top of the full
screen view:




See the Time and Other Info. while Running a DVD
With a right click on the video, the menu will
appear. Next click on "show information". You will see the
following:

Go to a chapter
With a right click on the video, the menu will appear. Click on
Go To and you will see the following:

Bookmarks
- While playing DVD, hold down Control (Ctrl) and press F2 to place a bookmark so you can go to that location later.
- While playing a DVD press F2 to advance to the next bookmark.
- Also you can use the menu to add bookmarks and then later to use the bookmarks you have saved:

- If you click on browser (see above), you get the following screen:




- Double click on the chapter or bookmark to start playing at that point.
- Single click the bookmark and then click delete to delete a bookmark
- Click on
Viewer

and you get the following
screen. Then you can click on the bookmark you desire.


Full Screen View
- A double left click on the video toggles to/from full screen.
- From the menu, you can click on Full Screen to turn on or off the Full
Screen view.
- See below to get full screen using the control panel:
(Full screen (Z) appears because I just moved the cursor to
that point)

Just left click on the video to get rid of the above display
or to eliminate the menu.
Shuttle
You can shuttle (move back and forth) depending on where you
left click:
Ending
If you go to another program, stop or pause the DVD so
the sound stops. Also if you have sound
on another program, stop that to shut off the sound before starting or resuming
the
DVD.
Playing CD
- You can play a CD using the same control panel.
- You can select a certain track by clicking the arrow on the right of the control panel and then click on the track number.
