Converting Overhead Transparencies to Files for Computer

Use Studio 3511 copy machine to scan transparencies and better yet, use paper copies of the transparencies.  Paper is better because then the sheet feeder can be used.
  1. Load the paper originals into the sheet feeder (transparencies will not feed through the feeder).  With vertical  (portrait) and  horizontal (landscape) sheets, you might want to feed the vertical all at once for one file and then  the horizontal  so you don't have to rotate the image when you are later using the images.
  2. If you are scanning transparencies rather than paper copies, put a white sheet of paper behind the transparency and put on the copy machine glass.  Always (portrait and landscape) place the original face down with the top furthest away from you.
  3. If you want color, choose the color option before scanning.
  4. Follow the instructions for using the scanner.
  5. Jessi has time to scan for you.
  6. Scan a few as a trial.
  7. When you open the email with the scanned transparencies, save them to the server so they can be easily obtained from the classroom, office, and home.
