5/27 Interlaken

The Pictures seen here are from the train station on our way to Interlaken Switzerland from Florence Italy, and then our next day in the Swiss Alps. The hiking in the Alps was picturesque. The original group started out getting a train to Lauterbrunnen, which is in a valley between two mountains. From there the group split; half took the gondola up the mountainside to Murren, the other half hiked up the mountainside to Murren and over to Gimmelwald, down with the gondola to Stechelberg, and back to Lauterbrunnen. Many of the pictures taken are from the hikers on the mountainside.

Waiting at the station in Firenze for the partenze board to give us the binario for our train to Interlaken via Milano and Spiez.

Playing hacky sack (poorly) on the platform; as usual, Owen is our best hope for a decent hack.

Before the hike.

Shadows of Jon Mudd, Tonya, and Owen.

With views like this, the climb seems worth it.

Clouds and snow greet our arrival near Murren.

Back down the valley, the snow has formed a nice waterfall behind our intrepid hikers.

On the train ride back to Interlaken, Lowry gives the Alps a sweet thumbs up.
