20 05 Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen
This morning we once again woke up early, and had the best continental breakfast on the trip yet. With eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, milk, etc., we almost felt like we were back home. Then some of us headed up to the local grocery store to buy lunch for our day in the Swiss Alps. We took a train that brought us into Lauterbrunnen, where part of the group started to hike up the mountain with Dr. Anderson, and the other part of the group took another train half way up the mountain. Both groups passed through Murren, a cute little town in the middle of the Alps, before taking a tram down to the bottom of the mountain. There we all walked through the valleys with scenic waterfalls on our way back to Lauterbrunnen. At Lauterbrunnen, many of us bought some chocolate before catching our train back to Interlaken. Once in Interlaken, the group dispersed to eat supper, shop, sleep, or just catch the breeze. Exhausted from our day in the Alps, many of us tried to get a good night's sleep before our treacherous day of traveling to Paris.
