May 23, 2009: Paris

We started our day out with seeing Notre Dame. We took pictures, then realized that we could not climb the tower yet because it was not open, so we decided to go back later. We then went to a church called La Sainte-Chapelle and took pictures of the gorgeous stained glass windows. After that we went back to the Notre Dame tower, but the line was very long. We again decided to go back later. Then we walked to the Louvre and spent a few hours admiring art and getting lost, because the museum is so huge. After that it rained a little, so we went back to the hotel to grab umbrellas. Then we ate some gyros and crepes. After a filling lunch, we took a long subway ride to the aquarium. The aquarium was fun, but most of the other people there were below the age of ten. Later we took the subway back to Notre Dame. After a long line and some exciting street entertainment, we finally were able to climb the tower. The view from the top was beautiful, and we could see a lot of the Seine River and the Eiffel Tower. After a long day of site seeing, we went back to the hotel for a break. Later tonight, we will race each other to the Arc de Triomphe, seeing who's route through the Metro is the best. Afterwards, we plan on having dinner, and seeing the Eiffel Tower lit up at night. We are looking forward to tomorrow, our last day in Paris, to spend a free day around the city.
