May 20, 2009: Interlaken, Switzerland: Soaring high in the Alps!

We left Florence early by train, with stops in Milan and Spiez, Switzerland. We arrived earlier than expected, so we had most of the afternoon to enjoy the Swiss Alps. Many of us took advantage of this and went paragliding!! It was an awesome experience, and for those with a fear of heights, it was a little scary, too. Many of us bought photos that the company took while we were in the air, so we will be sure to share those with you when we arrive home. After this awesome adventure, we ate, souvenir shopped, and went to bed early in preparation for our big adventure tomorrow. (We would have liked to share more photos with you, but we are having terrible trouble with the Internet here. Hopefully, we can add more once we arrive in Paris, so check back!)

The guys (Dan, Stephen, Chris, and Steven) anxiously wait to take off.

Our fearless leader approaches for landing.

Our fearless* leader lands. (*He was the most scared of us all!)

Looking at a menu searching for a place to eat; we settle for Des Alpes at the end of the green.
