May 18 To Paris
May 18 - Today we took a train from Interlaken to Bern, and then the 5 hour Bullet train to Paris. The rain had stopped, and it was looking beautiful outside. After arriving in Paris, we survived the Metro labyrinth and we found the Hotel. We left for a bite to eat, and then we walked to Notre Dame. We went inside and looked around, seeing beautiful stained glass windows. We also climbed up into the towers for a nice view of Paris. Clouds were forming and we got rained on again. We tried going to the Conciergerie, which is also on the Ile de la Cite, where Notre Dame is located. But this was closed. Perhaps tomorrow! We broke off for free time, for shopping and eating.
