Gustavus Box Score - Now Online!

MOORHEAD, Minn.-- After taking third-ranked Gustavus to the limit on Friday night, Concordia was unable to contain the high-powered Gustie offense and fell 6-0 in the series finale. Gustavus made sure there would be no Friday night repeat by scoring three times in the opening period on their way to the six-goal victory.

The loss drops Concordia's MIAC record to 0-3-1, while the Cobbers remain winles on the season with an 0-7-2 overall mark. Gustavus wins for the fourth straight time in league play and ups their overall record to 6-1-0.

The Gusties took control of the game in the first six minutes of the opening period. Unlike Friday where they were unable to get a number of quality chances, Gustavus was able to pepper the Cobber net early and often. They broke on to the scoreboard with a pair of goals 1:02 apart. Abby Randall scored on the power play at 5:52 and then Margaret Dorer added an even-strength goal at 6:54.

Jenny Pusch scored the first of her two goals in the game at 17:46 of the opening frame to give Gustavus an insurmountable three-goal lead.

Pusch added a second goal in the middle period before Ingrid Neve closed out the scoring with a pair of goals 10 seconds apart in the third period.

Cobber goalie Jenna Johnson, after turning in an unbelievable performance on Friday, made 28 saves in the game. Gustavus split their goaltending duties with starting goalie Kitty Hurley playing the first two periods and stopping three shots. Amanda Rosequist relieved Hurley in the third period and made two saves.

Concordia will look to pick up their first win of the season when they host St. Catherine in a two-game series on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11. The game on Saturday will start at 4:00pm, while Sunday's tilt will begin at 1:00pm.
