MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/23/09)-- Almost a month after winning her first MIAC Player of the Week award, Cobber senior Jenna Freudenberg (Parkers Prairie, Minn.) earned the conference weekly award for the second time as she was named the MIAC Co-Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday.

Freudenberg won her first MIAC Player of the Week award on Jan. 26 and joins a short list of Concordia women's basketball players that have won the award twice in one season. Freudemberg shares this week's award with St. Kate's sophomore Laura Kalbfell who averaged over 20 points and became the first Wildcat player to lead the league in scoring.

Freudenberg averaged 21 points and 6.0 assists in Concordia's two wins last week. The two victories helped the Cobbers secure the No.2 seed in the upcoming MIAC playoffs which gives CC a first-round bye and a home game in the semifinals.

On Wednesday against St. Mary's, Freudenberg scored 19 points and had three assists in the team's 74-47 win.

In Saturday's 78-57 win over St. Olaf on Senior Day, Freudenberg scored a game-high 23 points and had 9 assists in her final regular-season home game.

For the season, she tied for second in the MIAC in scoring and was third in the league in assists. She is one of the leading candidates for the MIAC MVP and is the only player on the Concordia team that is truly irreplaceable.
