Championship Meet Recap

SATURDAY, MARCH 11, 2006 - PRELIMINARIES

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- Although the result was anti-climactic after winning the 1-meter championship two days earlier, Concordia senior diver Annie Cullen was able to come away with a 12th-place finish in the 3-meter competition and earn All-American Honorable Mention honors.

Cullen did not qualify for the finals in the 3-meter event. She scored a total of 382.30 points in the prelims and missed the finals by 13.05 points.

Her 12th place finish netted five points in the team competition, bringing her two-event total to 25 points. That score was good enough to place Concordia 31st out of the 53 teams that were represented at the women's NCAA Division III National Meet.

Her second All-American award equals the totals by the other two Cobber All-Americans. Diver Emily Hall had a pair of All-American honors at the 2005 meet, and breaststroker Shana Letness captured All-American honors at the 1999 and 2001 national meets.
