ST. JOSEPH, Minn. (1/11/08)-- Concordia lost its second straight dual meet on Friday, losing 181-60 at St. Ben's. The loss comes on the heels of a defeat against St. Thomas. The Cobbers are now 4-2 in dual meets this season. St. Ben's wins its second consecutive dual meet and moves to 2-0 on the year.

Despite the lopsided score, Concordia continues to turn in impressive times as they prepare for the MIAC Championship Meet on Feb. 14-16. Against the Blazers, Concordia turned in 11 career bests and had 11 other season bests.

The top performers for CC were diver Lauren Trudeau and swimmer Katie Coleman. The pair accounted for Concordia's only event wins of the night. Trudeau finished with a score of 205.30 in the 1-meter diving event and won by a full three points. Coleman swam a career-best 1:06.85 in the 100-yard backstroke to capture the win.

Three other athletes recorded second-place finishes in the meet. Freshman Amy Glubzinski posted a total of 182.90 in the 3-meter diving competition and finished second. The other two runner-up finishes came from Aleina Weisz and Chelsea Volna. Weisz posted a 57.40 in the 50-yard freestyle and Volna finished the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:14.89.

The other career-best times were recorded by Janine Davis (50-yard freestyle - 27.0), Jessi Rognlien (1000-yard freestyle - 13:15.60), Devaney Buffalo (200-yard freestyle - 2:19.21 and 100-yard freestyle - 1:03.73),
Volna (200-yard freestyle - 2:12.84), Coleman (200-yard IM - 2:31.79), Rachael Hagen (200-yard IM - 2:40.82),
Mackenzie Koeck (100-yard butterfly - 1:12.42), Sarah Ament (100-yard backstroke - 1:10.47) and Weisz (100-yard breaststroke - 1:20.40).

Concordia will travel to St. Paul next weekend to compete in a pair of meets.
