Meet Recap:

WINONA, Minn. (11/03/07)-- Different year, same results.

The 2007-08 season started out in almost an identical fashion as the 2006-07 campaign did as Concordia won all 10 contested events on their way to  144-58 win over St. Mary's in the first dual meet of the year.

Last year the Cobbers also won all contested events and beat the Cardinals 146-59.

Against SMU on Saturday, CC posted five career best times to claim the 86-point win.

The meet started with Concordia freshman Amy Glubzinski grabbing the victory in the 1-meter diving event. Glubzinski would later win the 3-meter diving event as well. She posted a score of 200.70 in the 1-meter competition and a final total of 197.90 in the 3-meter event.

After Glubzinski's win in the 1-meter dive, the Cobbers won the 400-yard medley relay. Latoya Gruys picked up where she left off last year by winning the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:30.34.

Freshman Sarah Ament won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:13.90. Whitney Walters then recorded a win in the 50-yard freestyle before freshman Aleina Weisz won the 200-yard individual medley. Walters and Weisz also had victories in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle. Walters' winning time of 1:07.52 in the 100-yard butterfly was also a career best.

Janine Davis finished the clean sweep by winning the 100-yard backstroke.

The career-best times were registered by Katherine Allen in the 100-yard back portion of the 400-yard medley relay, Allison Harms in the 100-yard breaststroke, Devaney Buffalo in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke and Walters in the 100-yard butterfly.

Concordia will now square off against Northern State in dual meet on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Aberdeen YMCA in Aberdeen, S.D.
