Concordia opened the 2006-07 home season by beating St. Mary's 146-59 on Saturday. The Cobbers won all 11 contested events.

Meet Recap:

MOORHEAD, Minn. (11/04/06)-- Concordia opened the 2006-07 home season with a splash as they beat St. Mary's 146-59 in the first dual meet of the season. The Cobbers won all 11 contested events and posted three career-best times in capturing the win.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Erin Maetzold, Karin Koenig, Dani Ree and Chelsea Volna started the meet with a victory and their teammates took the cue, posting wins in the nest 10 events.

Janine Davis, Kelly Kufahl and Amanda Rolik all posted career-best times for the Cobbers in the meet. Davis swam a 2:20.66 in the 200-yard freestyle and finished second in the event. Kufahl posted a 1:14.72 in the 100-yard freestyle to better her personal best and Rolik finished the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:41.77 to finish third.

Individual event-winners for the Cobbers included, Katie Lee, Latoya Gruys, Maetzold, Shaina Fossum, Ree and Davis. Fossum and Maetzold captured a pair of wins in the meet. Fossum won the 200-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle, while Maetzold claimed victories in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle.

Freshman Lauren Trudeau won both sections of the 1-meter diving competition. She scored a 141.35 in the first part and then came back to win the second half by almost 50 points.

The Cobbers will stay at home when they host Hamline in a dual meet on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Memorial Auditorium Pool.
