Concordia freshman Marc Harrie had one of the two Cobbers goals in the team's 4-2 loss at Augsburg on Saturday. The game was the final on a seven-game road trip for CC.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (1/31/09)-- Ten different Augsburg College players figured in the scoring, as the Auggies completed a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey series sweep with a 4-2 victory over Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon at the Augsburg Ice Arena.

Jim Jensen (SO, Plymouth, Minn./Osseo HS), Trevor Doden (FY, Red Wing, Minn.), David Hines (FY, Sartell, Minn./St. Cloud Tech HS) and Tedd Falk (FY, Mequon, Wis./Homestead HS) scored goals for Augsburg (5-14-0 overall, 4-6-0 MIAC), with Chris Johnson (JR, Verona, Wis./Madison Memorial HS) adding two assists.

Concordia (3-16-2 overall, 1-9-2 MIAC) received goals from Shawn Goos (JR, Fergus Falls, Minn.) and Marc Harrie (FY, Fargo, N.D.), while Cory Johnson (SR, Moorhead, Minn.), Alec Holen (SR, Thief River Falls, Minn.) and Erick Galt (FY, Fargo, N.D.) added assists.

The Cobbers opened the scoring just 27 seconds into the game, as Goos scored from Cory Johnson and Holen. But Augsburg took the lead with two goals later in the frame, as Jensen scored from Chris Johnson and Chris Slavik (FY, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) at the 7:10 mark, and Doden scored from Johnson and Joel Sauer (SO, Madison, Wis./Memorial HS) at the 15:58 mark. Doden notched his third goal of the series; he had three goals and an assist for a four-point weekend.

Concordia tied the game 2:40 into the second period, as Harrie scored from Galt. But Augsburg took the lead for good on Hines' second goal of the season, from J.P. Perpich (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) just 88 seconds later. The Auggies clinched the victory when Falk scored on a shorthanded break from John Lennartson (FY, Burnsville, Minn.) and Brandon Bukowski (FY, Superior, Wis.).

Concordia outshot Augsburg by a 30-28 margin, with Augsburg goalie Andrew Kent (SR, Lakeville, Minn.) collecting 28 saves. Concordia goalie Mike Persson (JR, Regina, Sask.) made 24 saves.

Both teams return to action next Friday and Saturday (2/6-7) with MIAC series, as Augsburg faces Hamline while Concordia faces St. John's.
