Concordia senior Alec Holen scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season in the Cobbers' 4-2 loss at St. Thomas on Friday. Five of the last seven losses for C C have been by two or fewer goals.

Gameday Game Recap:

ST. PAUL, Minn. (1/23/09)-- Rob Johnson scored twice and host St. Thomas (7-7-2 overall, 4-2-1 MIAC) had four consecutive goals in a 4-2 victory over the visiting Cobbers (3-13-2, 1-6-2) in MIAC men's hockey play Friday night in Mendota Heights.

The teams will finish the two-game series on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Freshman Cary Wood improved to 3-0 as a starter in goal as he stopped 27 of 29 shots. Ole Bronbo stopped 30 of 34 shots for the Cobbers.

Johnson had two goals and one assist and now has 32 points (19 goals, 13 assist in his last 24 games dating back to last season.

Andrew Kappers' power-play goal late in the second period gave the Toms a 3-1 lead, and John Jacques scored 57 seconds into the final period for a 4-1 margin.

Marc Harris scored an unassisted goal 1:45 into the game to give Concordia a 1-0 lead. The Cobbers' final goal was a power-play tally by Alec Holen with 3:03 left.
