Matt Fletcher is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Cobber men's basketball team.

Fletcher is a recent graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University. He played on the Mustangs basketball team and was named to the All-NSIC Second team for three straight seasons. While at Southwest Minnesota State Fletcher set the school record for 3-point field goals in a career (305) and is one of only three players in the history of the NSIC to ever connect on 300 3-point baskets in a career.

Fletcher scored 1,375 points in his career at Southwest Minnesota State and is sixth on the school's all-time scoring list. He is also the Mustang's all-time leader in 3-point field goal percentage (.448), 3-point field goals attempted (681) and free throw percentage (.853).
