Tommie Twilight Meet Recap
ST. PAUL, Minn. (5/03/06)-- Concordia used the traditionally fast St. Thomas track to post another set of national qualifying marks and a slew of top ten program additions.
When head coach Marv Roeske added the Tommie Twilight meet after the season began, he envisioned Cobber athletes being able to take advantage of the ideal conditions for fast time, and that is just what he got.
Cobber senior Natalie Hanson ran a 4:39.95 in the 1500 meters to provisionally qualify for the national meet and then helped the 4x400-meter relay team do the same. Hanson was joined by Amy Ravenhorst, Heather Schuster and Angie Pfeiffer as they recorded a time of 3:55.28 to win the event by almost a full 10 seconds. Their finishing time is the fourth fastest in school history and is the second fastest in the MIAC this season.
Pfeiffer and Ravenhorst were then joined Alissa Bilden and Kelly Olson and that team ran a 50.15 in the 4x100-meter relay. That time is the ninth fastest in program history.
Concordia will head back to Moorhead to compete in the Ron Masanz Invitational on Saturday, May 6 at 9:00am.
