Drake Relays Meet Recap

DES MOINES, Iowa (4/29/06)-- For the second week in a row, the Concordia relay teams burned up the track as they broke another school record and posted another national provisionally qualifying mark. The Cobbers felt right at home with the top talent at the Drake Relays as they continued to shine on the track.

This week's top culprits were the 4x400-meter relay team and the sprint medley relay team. The quartet of Natalie Hanson, Alissa Bilden, Kelly Olson, Angie Pfeiffer ran a 3:57.20 which provisionally qualified the team for the national meet. Their finishing time is also the sixt fastest in program history. The sprint medley relay team of Olson, Pfeiffer, Hanson and Abby Scheel ran a time of 4:13.05 and bettered the old school record by almost two seconds.

Other top relay teams included the distance medley relay and the shuttle hurdle relay team which both posted times in the top seven in school history.
