Kansas Relays Meet Recap

LAWRENCE, Kan. (4/22/06)-- Concordia senior sprinter Angie Pfeiffer broke the school record in the 400 meters at the Kansas Relays over the weekend. Pfeiffer ran a 55.87 in the qualifying heat of the 400 meters and broke the old school mark of 56.18 set in 1986 by Concordia Hall of Fame Athlete Pam Olsgaard.

Pfeiffer then went on to place seventh in the NCAA Division I filled field. Pfeiffer's time is currently the fastest in NCAA Division III this season and automatically qualifies her for the national meet.

The Concordia 4xmile relay also set a new school record. The team of Natalie Hanson, Heather Schuster, Kendra Bengtson, Rachel Charpentier posted a time of 21:51.06 which bettered the old mark.

Elsewhere, The distance medley relay, shuttle hurdle relay, 4x400-meter relay, 4x800-meter relay and sprint medley relay all posted times that were in the top ten on the school's all-time list.
