ST. PAUL, Minn. (4/24/06)-- Concordia freshman field athlete Danielle Norby (Windom, Minn./Windom Area HS) was named the MIAC Field Athlete of the Week for her national provisional qualifying performances at the Cobber Twilight last week. It is the first time in her career that she has won the award.

Norby posted a pair of national provisional qualifying marks in the triple jump and the long jump.

She recorded a distance of 37-9.5 in the triple jump which is the best in the MIAC so far this season and ninth farthest in the nation. She followed that performance up by jumping 18-1.0 in the long jump. That mark is the second best in the conference and ranks her 18th in the nation.

She also cleared 5-1.75 in the high jump at the meet.
