OSHKOSH, Wis. (5/24/08)-- Concordia freshman Katherine Brott used her first try at an NCAA national meet as a learning experience as she failed to qualify for the finals in the javelin on Friday at the NCAA Division III national Outdoor Track & Field Meet held at UW-Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wis.

Brott earned a spot in nationals with a distance of 136-10 at the Cobber Twilight on Apr. 15. She was only able to come up with a mark of 129-5 in the preliminary heat of the event. That distance was 2-03.00 shy of qualifying for the finals. The ninth, and final, qualifier for the finals in the javelin posted a distance 131-08.
