ADA, Ohio (3/14/08)-- Concordia sophomore Leah Kay finished in a tie for ninth place in the high jump at the NCAA Division III National Indoor track and Field Meet on Friday in Ada, Ohio. Kay finished with a height of 5-03.25 and was tied with 10 other athletes at that height but due to misses earlier in the event, she finished in a tie for ninth, just one spot out of earning All-American honors.

Kay qualified by posting a provisional height of 5-5.00 in the high jump at the Bison Classic on Feb. 16. Her qualifying mark was tied for the tenth best among the competitors.

She was making her first trip to a national meet.
