The #3 doubles team of Valerie Bostrum and Mollie Miller had the tightest match in doubles play. Bostrum and Miller lost a tough 8-5 decsision to Abby Beggs and Christina Walker. Kelsey Schendel dropped the closest singles match of the day. She fell 6-4, 6-2 against Walker at the #4 singles spot. One of the highlights for Concordia was the play of Annie Styba who lost a 6-3, 6-1 match at #1 singles to 20th-ranked Sarah Russell. Concordia will return to action when they play at St. Ben's on Saturday, Feb. 18 at noon and then travel to St. Paul to take on St. Thomas and St. Kate's on Sunday, Feb. 19. |
