Matchday Match Recap
ST. PETER, Minn. (4/28/06)-- Concordia lost all three singles matches against Macalester and lost 5-1 in the ninth-place qualifying match in the MIAC Tournament on Friday in St. Peter, Minn. The loss ends the Cobbers' season while the Scots will advance to play St. Mary's for ninth place in the tournament.

Concordia trailed 2-1 after the doubles competition as the No. 2 Cobber team of Leigh Bonemeyer and Kelsey Schendel recorded a 9-8 (7-5) tie-breaker victory.

That would be the lone bright spot in the match for Concordia as they would drop all three of the singles matches that were played. The match was called after the first round of singles play due to the insurmountable lead that Macalester had run up.

Cobber freshman Leah Enger played in the closest singles match. Enger, playing at the No. 6 singles slot, lost in the super-set tie-breaker 4-6, 6-1, 10-6.

The Cobbers finish their season with a 3-14 record.
