Megan Johnson is in her first season as head coach of the Concordia fastpitch softball team. She took over for Stacy Holm in the fall of 2008 after serving as an assistant coach for the Cobbers for two seasons. Johnson was an assistant coach during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Johnson graduated from Concordia in 2002 after playing for four seasons for the Cobbers. As a senior Johnson started all 30 games as the team's first baseman and helped CC to a fourth-place finish in the conference standings. She was a four-year member of the Concordia fastpitch team and helped the Cobbers post a pair of top three finishes in her freshman and sophomore seasons. After graduating from Concordia, Megan taught at Fergus Falls High School from 2002-05. While at Fergus Falls she helped coach the fastpitch softball team as well as the volleyball and girls' hockey teams. She then moved on to Perham High School where she taught from 2006-07. She was also the head fastpitch softball coach in 2007. Megan earned her Master's Degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2006. In addition to her duties as head fastpitch coach, Megan also teaches in the Health and Physical Education Department. |
