Meet Rewind:

Meet Results: Cobber Duals Results

Meet Recap:

MOORHEAD, Minn. (1/26/08)-- Concordia super senior Dusten Olejnicak started his 2008 indoor season with a bang by jumping 22-0.75 in the long jump at the Cobber Duals. That mark is the farthest in the MIAC this season and a career-best for Olejnicak.

As a team, Concordia went 5-1 at the duals meet. CC beat Jamestown, Minot State, North Dakota State, University of Mary and UM-Morris. The lone loss on the day for the Cobbers came against cross-town rival MSU Moorhead. The Dragons won the meet by posting a perfect 6-0 mark.

Olejnicak's mark of 22-0.75 was good for second place in the event. He was one of five Concordia athletes to post top five finishes.

The only event-winner for CC was Justin Shobe. Shobe ran a 2:43.82 in the 1000 meters to win by one full second. Aaron Korf finished third in the event with a time of 3:28.88.

Freshman Brady VanderVelde started his collegiate career by finishing third in the high jump. He cleared 5-8.00.

Josh Smith turned in one of the most impressive performances of the day for CC. He posted a time of 51.84 in the 400 meters and finished third.

Concordia will travel to Fargo to compete in the Bison Open on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 3 p.m.
