Match Recap:

MOORHEAD, Minn. (4/02/08)-- Concordia used a little used line-up to down the University of Mary 7-2 on Wednesday in Moorhead. The Cobbers scratched their top three players and used a pair of athletes that hadn't played in a single match this season to break out of their four-match losing streak. The win pushes Concordia's overall record to 6-9 on the year. CC is now 3-1 in home matches.

The Cobbers snagged two of the three doubles matches to start the meet. Two of the three doubles tandems for CC were playing their first match together. Peter Zender and Andre Genereux, the most experienced doubles team of the three, scored a decisive 8-1 win at No.2 doubles.

In singles play, CC's Jordan Swanson - playing for the first time in his career at No.1 singles - recorded a 6-4, 6-4 victory to start the Cobbers off on the right foot in singles competition. Zender then followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No.2 singles. David Bloomquist, Jared Johnson and Lukas Radde finished off the match for Concordia with singles victories in the final three singles spots. For all three it was their first singles match of the season. For Johnson and Radde it was their first action in a match for the 2008 season.

Concordia will return to conference play this weekend when they play at Bethel on Saturday, Apr. 5 at 10 a.m.
