ORLANDO, Fla. (2/24/08)-- Concordia started their spring trip to Orlando, Fla. with a 6-3 win over Hanover (Ind.) on Sunday. The Cobbers won two of the three doubles matches to set the tone and cruised to their second straight victory.

Senior captain Wills Wischer led the way for CC as he posted a 6-3, 6-2 win at No.1 singles and then paired with Matt Edin to win 8-4 at No.1 doubles. The singles win was number four on the year for Wischer. In doubles, Wischer and Edin evened their season record at 3-3.

The No.2 doubles team of Kirby Johnson and Jordan Swanson continues to be a pleasant surprise for Troy Hanestad's squad. Johnson and Swanson put up a convincing 8-2 win to record their third win of the year.

Johnson was also one four singles winners for Concordia. The Cobbers had all of their top four singles players grab wins on the day. Besides Wischer and Johnson, Edin collected a 6-0, 6-1 win at No.2 singles in the most lopsided match of the day. Swanson finished off the singles wins by beating his No.4 singles opponent 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).

The Cobbers will take on NCAA Division I opponent Mount St. Mary's on Monday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m.
