Troy Odegaard is in his fifth season on the Cobber coaching staff. In the 2002-03 season, Odegaard was the interim head women's basketball coach which made the MIAC playoffs with a 13-13 overall record.
He joined the Concordia staff in the summer of 2000. He was an assistant coach for the women's basketball program in both the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons.
Odegaard came to Concordia after serving as the boy's assistant varsity coach basketball coach at Lincoln Southeast High School in Lincoln, NE in 1999-00. Prior to coaching at Southeast High he was an assistant coach for the men's team at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln from 1997-1999. He was part of the coaching staff who led the Cornhuskers to an NCAA tournament appearance in 1998 and the NIT tournament in 1999. Odegaard was also a graduate assistant and assistant coach for the South Dakota State men's team from 1995 - 1997.
He received his undergraduate degree from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD in 1986 and his Master's degree from SDSU in Brookings, SD.
In addition to his duties with the men's basketball team Troy serves as the head men's golf coach and also teaches in the Physical Education department.
Troy lives in West Fargo with his wife Julie and children Aubrie, Jacoby and Mercede.
