Concordia graduated their top six players from last year, including All-MIAC forward Daimen Crump, All-MIAC point guard Greg Dean , and MIAC 6th man of the year Cornelius Bishop.
The top returning player for the Cobbers
is 6-3 senior forward James Gillhouse (Ronan,
MT). Gillhouse averaged nearly 8 points and 4 rebounds coming off the bench
last year.
Others returning who saw extended action
off the bench last year include point guard Micah
Benson (6-1, sophomore, Moorhead), guard Alex
Bjork (6-2, junior, Colorado Springs, CO), and junior forward
Brian Kesselring (6-4, Fargo,
ND). Both Bjork and Kesselring had leg injuries that limited their play
late in the 1996-97 season.
Among the top newcomers for the Cobbers are sophomore Nate Malchow (6-8, Aberdeen, SD) and Mike Wrobel, a mobile 6-6 freshman from Willmar.
