The Concordia Cobbers raced out to an early lead against Augsburg and never looked back winning the game 84-73. They remain in second place in the MIAC with a 5-1 record, 8-2 overall.
The Cobbers were led by MIAC Player of the Week Daimen Crump's 19 points, five rebounds and four assists. Jason Sorenson had another great shooting night as he hit four of six three pointers in the game on his way to scoring 17 points.
Greg Dean made all six field goal attempts in the game to finish with 13 points, and Bryan Christianson added 12 points.
The Cobbers shot extremely well in the first half, making 19 of 28 shots for a shooting percentage of 68 pecent. They finished the game making 54 percent of their field goals and 77 percent of their free throws.
The Cobbers play host to Macalester Saturday, then travel to St. Mary's Monday and St. Olaf Wednesday.
