Flatau, Johnson Earn MIAC Postseason Honors

(ST. PAUL)-- Concordia senior softball players Jill Flatau (Perham, Minn/Perham HS) and Stacie Johnson (Belgrade, Minn./BBE HS) earned MIAC postseason honors. Flatau was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team while Johnson was named to the MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team. It is the first time for both players to be named to a league all-conference team.
Flatau had her career-best season this year. She led the Cobbers in average (.382), slugging percentage (.574) and on-base average (.440). She was in the top five in all three categories in the MIAC. During the course of the year she had seven multiple-hit games and hit safely in 13 of the team's 22 league games.
Johnson, the Cobbers' first baseman, hit .294 on the season and led
the team in home runs (5), RBI's (16) and total bases (54). She was tied
for third in the league in home runs. Her fielding percentage of
.989 placed her third in the MIAC among everyday infielders. She only committed
two errors in 178 chances.
