Women's Track & Field
- The Concordia women's track and field team opened the 2010 outdoor season by dominating the javelin competition at the CSB/SJU Invite. The Cobbers went 1-2-3 in the javelin and had five athletes place in the top 10. Katherine Brott (Jr., Deer Lodge, Mont./Powell County HS) led the CC contingent by winning the event with a distance of 114-06.


Baseball (7-5/0-0 MIAC) - Did Not Play

- The Cobbers are 7-5 on the season and will conclude the indoor portion of their schedule when they square off against the University of Minnesota on Mar. 31 at 6:30 p.m. Concordia will then open up conference play on Saturday, Apr. 3 at 1 p.m. at home against Hamline.


Fastpitch Softball (3-14/0-0 MIAC - split with UM-Morris 21-12 & 3-6)

- Concordia returned to action after a three-week break and split a pair of rain-soaked games with the UM-Morris in Morris, Minn. on Saturday. The Cobbers scored a season-high 21 runs in the opener to cruise to a 21-12 win in five innings. CC used up all their scoring power in the first game as they fell 6-3 in the nightcap. The win in the first game snapped a four-game losing skid for Concordia. The Cobbers are now 3-14 on the season as they head into conference play.

- Cobber senior designated player Maddie Haroldson (Sartell, Minn.) leads the team in hitting with a .455 average. Haroldson was 4-for-7 in the two games against UM-Morris on Saturday and hit her first home run of the year. She has five hits on the year and three are for extra bases. Haroldson currently has a .900 slugging percentage.


Men's Tennis (6-6/2-2 MIAC) - Did Not Play

- Concordia will return to action on Apr. 10 when they host St. Olaf at noon in their first outdoor home match of the season.


Women's Tennis (5-5/2-2 MIAC) - Did Not Play

- Concordia will return to action on Apr. 10 when they host St. Olaf at noon in their first outdoor home match of the season.


Men's Track & Field (finished 4th at the CSB/SJU Invite)

- Concordia opened the 2010 outdoor season on Saturday at St. John's when they competed at the CSB/SJU Invitational. The Cobbers had three athletes win individual events and finished fourth out a total of 13 teams.

- John Bye (Fr., Moorhead, Minn.), Tom Sederquist (Jr., Moorhead, Minn.) and Felix Okoth (So., Mombasa, Kenya) came away with event wins for the Cobbers. Bye ran 56.79 in the 400-meter hurdles to win the first extended hurdle race of the season. Sederquist was a part of a stellar distance crew for Concordia as he clocked a 15:09.58 in the 5000 meters and won the event by almost 30 seconds. His finishing time was only .44 seconds off of his personal best. It is also the fourth fastest in program history. CC had 12 runners compete in the 5000 or 10,000 meters and eight posted personal best times. Okoth carried over his success from the indoor season by winning the triple jump with a distance of 45-05.75. That mark is the third farthest in school history and is a personal best for Okoth.

- Concordia will now head west to compete at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. over the Easter holiday break. The Cobbers will compete in the Shotwell Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 3 at 10 p.m. The next full team meet will be at the NDSU Bison Invite on Apr. 10 in Fargo.


Women's Track & Field (finished 4th at the CSB/SJU Invite)

- Concordia opened the 2010 outdoor season by competing at the CSB/SJU Invite at St. John's on Saturday. The Cobbers had a pair of athletes win individual events, posted 21 top 5 finishes and came away with a third-place team finish.

- The best event of the meet for Marv Roeske's crew was the javelin. In the first competition of the year, Concordia went 1-2-3 in the javelin and had five athletes place in the top 10. Katherine Brott (Jr., Deer Lodge, Mont./Powell County HS) led the CC contingent by winning the event with a distance of 114-06. Leah Kay (Sr., Dassel, Minn./Dassel-Cokato HS) was second with a mark of 111-07 and Kristen Warren (Jr., Oakes, N.D.) was third at 107-00. Erica Holo (Fr., Fargo, N.D./Fargo South HS) and Sarah Peterson (Jr., Moorhead, Minn.) rounded out the top 10 finishers for Concordia.

- The Cobbers will take a partial team to train and compete in Washington while other members will compete at the Northern State Invite on Saturday. The next full team competition will be on Saturday, Apr. 10 at the NDSU Bison Invite in Fargo.
