Men's Basketball
- Concordia men's basketball coach Rich Glas will be traveling with the Northern Iowa basketball team to their NCAA Division I Sweet 16 game against Michigan State in St. Louis, Mo. Glas served as Director of Basketball Operations for the Panthers from 2006-08 and has been invited by UNI head coach Ben Jacobson to travel with the team. Glas also coached Jacobson in college at the University of North Dakota from 1989-93. Jacobson then served as an assistant under Glas at North Dakota from 1994-2000.
Men's Basketball (13-12/9-11 MIAC - 7th Place)

- Junior John Fraase (Bismarck, N.D./Century HS) was named to the D3hoops.com West All-Region Team. Fraase earned All-Region Second Team honors and was the only player from the MIAC to be named to the All-Region First or Second Teams. Fraase finished the season by averaging 12.9 points and 10.4 rebounds in the team's 25 games. He led the team in rebounding and was second in scoring. It was the second consecutive year Fraase averaged more than 10 points and 10 rebounds for the entire season. He was 22nd in the nation in rebounding in 2009-10.
Women's Basketball (18-8/17-5 MIAC - 3rd Place)
- Erica Nord (Jr., Wolverton, Minn./Barnesville HS) was named to the D3hoops.com West All-Region Team. Nord earned All-Region Third Team honors and was one of six players from the MIAC to be named to the All-Region Team. Nord led the Cobbers in scoring, assists, steals and 3-point field percentage and was second on the team in rebounding. She finished the year by averaging 13.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.15 assists and 2.54 steals in the team's 26 overall games. Nord had career-high season totals in points, rebounds and assists in 2009-10 and now has 683 points, 298 assists and 198 steals in her three seasons at Concordia.

- Concordia will open the outdoor portion of their schedule on Saturday, Mar. 27 when they compete in the CSB/SJU Invite hosted by St. John's in Collegeville, Minn. The Cobbers will participate in eight team events before finishing off the season at the MIAC Championship Meet on May 14-15 at St. Mary's University in Winona, Minn.

Baseball (5-3/0-0 MIAC - split with UW-La Crosse 6-5 & 1-4/
split with Wartburg 0-3 & 2-1)
- Concordia finished off their Metrodome doubleheaders last weekend by splitting with UW-La Crosse and Wartburg (Iowa). The Cobbers are now 7-5 on the season and have only allowed more than five runs once the entire year. CC will conclude the indoor portion of their schedule when they square off against the University of Minnesota on Mar. 31 at 6:30 p.m.
- The Cobbers are 35-for-36 in stolen bases this season. The 35 steals in the first 12 games are 14 more than they had in all of last season. CC has stolen at least one base in all 12 games and has swiped five or more bases on three occasions. Their highwater mark came against UM-Morris when they stole seven bases in six innings of play. The Concordia record for most stolen bases in a single season is 64 - set back in 1984.
- Concordia junior pitcher Jake Torrison (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) leads the rejuvenated Cobber pitching staff this season. Torrison has not allowed an earned run in his 12.1 innings of work this year. He is currently 2-1 and opposing batters are hitting a paltry .116 against the right hander.
Fastpitch Softball (2-13/0-0 MIAC)

- Concordia added a non-conference doubleheader to their schedule. The Cobbers will travel to Morris, Minn. to take on UM-Morris on Saturday, Mar. 27 at 1 p.m. CC will then open up conference play on Apr. 6 when they play at Bethel at 4 p.m.
Men's Tennis (6-6/2-2 MIAC - beat St. Mary's 8-1)
- Concordia evened their overall and conference record on Saturday by beating St. Mary's 8-1. It is the largest margin of victory against an MIAC opponent since they beat Hamline by a similar score at the end of the 2008 season.
- The Cobber No.2 doubles teams of Chad Smith (So., Grand Forks, N.D./Red River HS) and Jordan Swanson (Thief River Falls, Minn./Lincoln HS) won their fourth straight match on Saturday. Smith and Swanson cruised to an 8-1 win over the doubles team from St. Mary's and are now 6-3 on the year. The duo has not lost since returning from Florida on Feb. 27.
Women's Tennis (5-5/2-2 MIAC - won at Bemidji St. 7-2/
beat St. Mary's 5-4)
- Concordia earned a pair of wins last weekend to even their overall record and also their mark in league play. On Friday the Cobbers blitzed NCAA DII opponent Bemidji State 7-2 and then on Sunday had to rally from behind to beat St. Mary's 5-4. CC is now 2-2 in the MIAC and in fifth place in the league standings.
- Cobber junior Melanie Gail (Madison, Minn./Lac Qui Parle Valley HS) and sophomore Kelly Kalvoda (Bismarck, N.D./Century HS) earned the two decisive wins in CC's 5-4 win over the Cardinals. Trailing 4-3 heading into the final two singles bouts, Kalvoda tied the match at 4-4 by recovering from a 6-3 deficit in the super-set tiebreaker to win 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 at No.6 singles. Moments later Gail polished off the team win with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win at No.4 singles. Both players have now won three straight matches. Gail has a team-leading seven wins in single play on the year and is now 7-3.
